About me
Outside of being my hobby, games introduced me to the world of design when I would read the League of Legends patch notes every two weeks. This lead to me taking a Design Technology class in high school and later starting a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design in Eindhoven. During this study however, I decided I wanted to specialize in game design as my passion for games became stronger and my interest broadened to multiple new genres.
What I love about game design is the idea of creating experiences through creative game mechanics that create an ecosystem of actions and consequences for the player to interact with and express themselves. Being able to do this as my job alongside other enthusiastic developers is what makes me passionate about working in the game industry.
I specialize in game mechanics design but I also have skills in technical and level design. I like to guide my process using the Double Diamond Design Thinking method to ensure the best and most creative solution for all relevant parties within a design problem. My experience with Figma and Unity allow me to quickly visualize and prototype concepts to gather feedback and communicate with my team effectively.
Outside of games and design, I appreciate coffee brewing, movies and books. I enjoy the finer things in those activities and like to analyze their effects on me and how they achieve those effects.
Looking ahead, I'm aiming to become a lead game designer to work on a project that will experiment and push the boundaries of game design with other passionate developers.


My Skills
QUICK PROTOTYPING
I'm experienced with scripting in C# in Unity and have worked with Blueprints in Unreal Engine 5. With my technical skills and Figma experience, I can prototype concepts and visualize them quickly to communicate more efficiently.
MECHANICS DESIGN
I specialize in designing, prototyping and testing game mechanics that fit the established design pillars and requirements of a project, with an emphasis on innovation.
TEAM PLAYER
I have experience working in teams through my university projects which consisted of multiple disciplines. This allowed me to develop my communication and collaboration skills.
LEVEL DESIGN
I can create interesting levels which considering flow, environment, narrative and the player's experience with game mechanics. I can use level design prototyping techniques both in Unity and Unreal Engine 5 to test and experiment with concepts.
